Crown has built a team of highly-qualified and experienced commercial lending professionals. They provide detailed portfolio analysis on a loan-by-loan basis, so you can be confident that specific risks have been identified and are being actively managed. Our core areas of focus are:

• Gaining a clear understanding of risks and potential losses through our watch-list process
• Obtaining detailed information on every asset through our annual review process
• Using our ability to restructure loans where appropriate.

Our annual reviews follow a considered and well-tested approach to ascertain and identify any risks to the lender. Issues could arise around serviceability, property value(s), security or management risks. The Senior Officers in our professional team undertaking the reviews gather a lot of information when they meet with borrowers at their commercial premises. The quality, breadth and depth of the information collected on each asset during this process allows us to spot issues early and place borrowers on watch-lists, should the need arise.

If a case is assigned to our watch-list, we ensure appropriate strategies are explored, discussed and recommended to you. This enables you to make informed decisions to speedily achieve recovery and manage your risk. We know the issues most important to you as they are identified through regular reviews and Watch-list Committee meetings. We take this commitment to risk management very seriously and our Watch-list Committee members include our Chief Finance Officer, our Chief Operations Officer and our Head of Servicing.

Our Credit Committee considers lending applications to ensure our clients' financial risks are mitigated. Each asset is treated on its own merits and bespoke strategies developed, accounting for all the available options, risks and costs to secure the best outcomes. The proposals are signed off by one of our Commercial Specialists and two members of the Credit Committee, our Head of Servicing and our Chief Operations Officer to make certain control is in place.
